CRUSHED RED

Crushing it Daily.

Situation:

Crushed Red was an early adopter to the healthy chopped salad fast casual category but with a twist: they wanted to be the place where everyone could enjoy a meal together. If you want a super healthy salad, they have it. Feeling like pizza and beer? They have that too! Tasty shareables and wine? Yep! Everyone can gather at Crushed Red and get exactly what they want.

At the end of the day though, the backbone of their operation is their glorious salad line where you can watch choppers expertly prepare your meal. Crushed Red needed to set themselves apart from other salad chains as the cozy, creative concept that they are, and we were there to help.

Strategy:

We needed to give Crushed Red a polished look and, more importantly a voice. We started by tweaking their existing logo to make it very readable from a distance and easy to reproduce. We also added the descriptor: “Artfully Chopped Craft Salads,” so that both fans of the restaurant and casual observers would immediately know what they were all about. Our intention was to give them the look of a brand with national presence and the owner agreed to let us do just that. With free reign over print collateral, messaging, experiential design, signage, packaging and menus we pulled a lot of moving parts together into a cohesive package. It was just the kind of all-encompassing project work that we crave and we’re so happy that we are still at it for this long-time partner.

Success: / Solution:

Consistency throughout the brand has helped Crushed Red become a well-recognized entity and a beloved brand in their area. Expansion is always on the horizon, and did we mention their latest venture? A self-serve pizza ATM at St. Louis Lambert International Airport. Of course, something like that is right up our alley!
